My Baby is One! + pictures galore

It's crazy how fast a year can go by! I was looking back at some pictures of the day Elly was born, so I had to share a few on this post. I cannot even remember her being that small. 5lbs 5oz and couldn't even hold her head up is now 17 lbs and walking like a little pro!
It's amazing to look at this stocking now and picture her laying on top of it.

Elly and same stocking a year later. She is my smiley, happy, sweet girl!

Daddy adoring his new baby girl.

Oh, this picture makes me so glad today is Dec 18, 2009 and not Dec, 18, 2008. I know I look like death, but I had just been through a long night of labor, followed by a change of plans the next morning to have a c-section. Elly was born at 12:34 in the afternoon, and this is the first time I saw her a few hours later. I remember thinking she looked just like Carter when he was born, but this time they brought me my baby with a little bow on her head. (:

I love this newborn picture of her--the diaper is HUGE!

She is getting so big! This is a new birthday outfit from Grandma Tarbet.

I love that sweet little face!

Carter reading to his little sister.

This is the face I wake up to! I know, you're all jealous. But, trust me, I deserve to wake up to that face because I also wake up with her multiple times through the night still!

Mommy and Carter playing in the snow.

Daddy and Carter getting pulled behind the 4-wheeler. Carter LOVED it. It's fun that he is getting a little older and can do more things like this now.

We had an early birthday party for Elly on Sunday with my side of the family. We'll have another little party tomorrow with the Burdicks. This is my dad helping Elly with a present.

Elly got this little puppy that talks and sings. She loves it, but I think Carter might love it more.

Birthday girl in a shoe box. We could have just given her this box for her birthday and she would have been perfectly happy.

She needed a little help with the candle--that's what big brothers are for.

Great Grandpa Hunter feeding Elly some cake and ice cream. She loves my grandpa and I think it is so sweet.

Carter's first graham cracker house. We made it while Jimmy was at school and Carter said, "Daddy will be so proud of me?"

Carter thinks his stocking is a hat is always putting it on his head. Excuse his little chocolate face. (:

Fries and Fry sauce from "Five Guys" (I would highly recommend it by the way- And so would Elly apparently)

We had an "ugly sweater" Christmas party with Jimmy's extended family. Here is Jimmy and his sister, Angela sporting their sweet sweaters.

Sam strutting his stuff down the ugly sweater catwalk. He was one of the winners of the ugly sweater contest.

The fam

Mommy and Elly. She wouldn't look ugly in anything, I don't think. And this little sweater really is adorable. She even did the catwalk all by herself to model for everyone, and it was the cutest thing ever.

Sorry about this ridiculously long post! That's what happens when you haven't posted in 2 months! I hope everyone is having a fabulous December. Merry Christmas!!!

Merry Christmas to you too! Tiff got that little dog that talks on her birthday too, but her daddy didn't know there was a purple one for girls, so she has the green one, but she LOVES it too, especially when it says her name!

Oh wow! That was so much fun to go reading through! I was commenting to Vic the entire time about how fun & adorable everything is, but no specifics to you cuz I can't remember that many pictures & stories at once, haha! Great post though :) I can't wait to see the difference of Tommy next year with his stocking too!

Love it. the ugly sweater contest is the BEST. Pretty sure we need to have one of those. I was thinking we should do a holiday hygiene reunion, where spouses ARE invited and now I'm pretty sure we need to do the ugly sweater contest for it. fun. Elly is adorable!!
