I'm getting really tired of playing the waiting game. I feel boring posting the same old thing all the time. On Thursday, my doctor said she wanted to deliver the baby this weekend, because my blood pressure has not been looking good and she figures the baby is ready. But, since I am only 36 weeks, she had to consult with "High Risk"- whatever that is- and she would call me first thing in the morning. But, basically she said to plan on it. So, Friday I was all ready to go have a baby, just waiting for her to call me. After waiting ALL DAY for a phone call, and leaving 2 messages, she finally called me at 4:30 in the afternoon to tell me that "High Risk" thinks we should wait. Needless to say I was an emotional crying mess the rest of the night. Talk about a frustrating day! We have been praying that the doctors would know when the right time to deliver this baby would be, so I just need to have faith and be patient. I guess this little one is just not quite ready, even if I am! (:

Wow that last pic reminds me so much of Jim when he was little! Let me know if there is anything we can do to help out! We love ya!
CRAZY- I was gonna say the same thing Melissa said! (That 2nd pic looks JUST like some of Jim's pics from when he was little!) Hang in there Heather! We are praying your you and your little girl! Love ya!
Hey,
I've been checking your blog everyday for some new posts about your belly and what's inside. Anyway like I said I know exactly how you feel. Go 2 more weeks and that would be me. Isn't funny all the precautions they take, and in the end we carry almost full term or close to. Those stupid steroid shots! For some reason I know I'm not a doctor, but there's really no doubt in my mind that she'll be absolotely fine. You've done really good a carried her this far. Babies are fine all the time delivered at this stage. Like you said it's the waiting game, but I'm sure she'll be here in no time. We're excited to see her. I actually had a dream about her in the good hour I was sleeping this morning. She had tons of black hair and she was way cute. She was bigger than Emmerson was. In my dream she was around 8 Lbs. I know she won't be, but she was healthy...Anyway good luck and we'll see ya soon!
I'm sorry! I heard that they were considering starting you early. Well, good luck! It'll happen eventually, that kid can't stay in there forever!!
Although you want to rip your dr's hair out and scratch her eyes out as well, I know EXACTLY how you feel! It really ticks me off when they think they have to rencforce to us that 'They are the DR!" It's like DUH! But then they don't understand that a GOOD Dr actually listens to the mother!!! Still arguing that with mine! And that was an ongoing one from the time that I was about 33 weeks and measuring 36! If he would have listened to me she would have been born just fine and not have to spend that 4 stinking days in NICU and I wouldn't have had to have a c-section! If you need someone to empathize with you just give me a call!! I love you and we are praying for you! :)
Hey girl. When I didn't hear from you this weekend I figured the doc decided to wait. I know it's frustrating but give her time. I teach those little ones that come too early and trust me as frustrating as it is she needs to go as long as possible. It will all be over soon. Remember I was in your shoes a month ago playing the waiting game it does suck but it will be over before you know it. Your in our prayers. We love you guys. Good luck and if you need anything call!!!
Hey Heather! Doesn't the last month really stink? But honestly, after working in a NICU for 3 years, I would do everything to keep that sweet little babe inside for at least two more weeks. I can't count how many 36 weekers we admit every week. They tend to be crummy eaters at the least, and they have a good chance at having major respiratory problems. Sometimes they can't keep warm or have issues with their blood sugars too. A lot of times they do great and don't have a single issue, but you never know. I say let your little one keep cookin'!
Hey Guys,
Your sister-in-law said that tomorrow (Thursday) will be the "big day". We will be thinking of you guys. You finally get to meet your little girl.
Love Ya - Let us know
Leslie and the girls at the office
Jimmy's finals are over so is Ellie here yet?!? Please Post ASAP even if you don't have pictures. I want to know if everything goes well too... any c-sections, NICU, etc. :) Hopefully we'll be able to come visit soon after :)
Congrats Heather and Jim, I saw on Melissa's blog that you have your little girl. She is soooo cute. Love her dark hair. So how much did she weigh? Hope you have a speedy recovery.
it will happen when the time is right...I know that doesn't help at all, but have faith and just be greatful you didn't have a very complicated delivery w/lots of extra bills! let us know when she decides to come and hang in there!
