Blue Angels

First and foremost, I must announce that my 3-yr-old learned how to ride his bike WITHOUT TRAINING WHEELS on Wednesday while I was at work. My mom said he went outside and practiced for almost 2 hours until he figured it out BY HIMSELF. He fell down multiple times, but every time he fell down he would quickly get back up and say, "I'm ok, I'm ok. I can do it." Talk about determination! Sure enough, by the time I got home from work he was riding like a pro and sooo proud of himself. He couldn't wait to come back to Pocatello and show his daddy. GOOD JOB CARTER!

This summer, Jimmy has been working in Idaho Falls as an electrical engineering intern for Idaho Falls power. He works in an office right next to the city mayor's right-hand man, so he hears a lot of the Idaho Falls goings on. Anyway, the guys at work told him that the Blue Angels were doing a full rehearsal today at 3:00, so I decided to take the kids and meet him at a soccer park close to the airport to watch. It was AMAZING! (And best of all, it was free!) Now I wish we had tickets to see the whole show with the B-2 bombers flying tomorrow. And, if we would have known what an awesome view we had, we would have invited both our fams to come watch too. Darn! If only, if only... But, I did get some ok pictures considering my camera isn't very awesome. My favorites are the videos I got of the kids' reactions to the jets flying by. Nothing can prepare you for how LOUD they are. Funny sidenote: When I was little, my dad was in the Air Force and we went to an air show. I think I was probably about Carter's age. My mom reminded me today what my reaction was the first time I was witness to a jet flying up close and personal: I ran over to my mom, climbed up into her arms and peed all over. (: Hehehe. Thankfully, Carter didn't do that to me today. We were teasing Carter during the show that after we were done watching, we were going for a ride in the jets. He got an extremely alarmed looked on his face and said, "But, I don't want to. That would be too scary."

Oh, poor babies! I guess they weren't excited as you and Jimmy! :) Your kids are so cute though. I can't believe how big they have gotten.
